FAQ

Web Store assets, explained.

The store needs a 128×128 icon, screenshots at 1280×800 or 640×400, a small promo tile at 440×280, and (optionally) a marquee promo tile at 1400×560. Your manifest also references 16, 32, 48, and 128px icons.

No. All resizing happens locally in your browser using the canvas API. Your image never leaves your device — nothing is sent to a server.

Icons are fit inside the square (contain) so nothing is cropped; screenshots and promo tiles fill the frame (cover) and are center-cropped to the exact required ratio.

Every output is a PNG, which the Chrome Web Store accepts for icons, tiles, and screenshots.
